Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue flight medics transport a 38-year-old man who was bitten by a seven foot-long alligator Tuesday afternoon to Broward General Medical Center. The unidentified patient drove himself to Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Weston, FL., then was airlifted by BSO Air Rescue helicopter to the trauma center. According to Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue spokesman Mike Jachles, the 38-year-old victim said he is a Seminole Tribe Wildlife Officer who was moving a seven foot-long alligator in the Big Cypress Reservation when the reptile bit his hand. The victim reported he was able to drive himself to the Weston hospital, but was then transferred to Broward General Medical Center for treatment.
